This pen does not work as advertised. The software is buggy and the after sales support is terrible when it exists at all. If you buy this pen you will spend a frustrated week trying to get it to work before giving up, losing out on a couple of hundred dollars.
lolz it will think your writing but then itle just scrape around but itl still record it if you ubload it ont o the computer
With its capabilities, I wouldn’t be surprised. These pens are available at Target, including one in Cupertino near De Anza College, where I’m sure they will be in great demand.
I’m very impressed on this one. Looks like an invaluable tool for many professions, especially educational institutions, and the engineering fields. Kudos to them on this, I’m sure they will make some bank off of professors alone.
i MUST have this!
Yo, I have had the pen for over 4 months and its helped me this semester in my classes. I just got one for my cousin on the livescribe site and got 10% off and free shipping this time by using SCRIBE5A31
oh my gosh. this pen is amazing.
amen to that… gone are the days when you say… “I’ve got a pen you can borrow” it will be more like “Hey got something I can write with bro?”
“Hell no! get your own!”
you get a refill… the pen comes with 3 I think =
what happens when you run out of ink?
Most likely is a computer that can do that, seeing as the digital pen is a small computer the tech came from computers, dumb question look around.
thats why you dont just leave it sitting around.
I’m so buying this…I also heard you can draw a piano and then play it…thats so unreal.
please, livescribe, this is my life.. don’t ever take this away.. ever.. amen
ok, but it is overengineered
not a great idea of a pen this will be stolen often in schools
Where can I buy this cool stuff in Glasgow?
He have mentioned about the qualified laser jet printer, what is that? Which model and brand should i use?
I would lose that pen in 10 minutes.
I personally don’t like taking notes on a computer, then incorporating sound bytes from a second device into specific points in my notes. It would almost take as long as the recording itself just to edit it into smaller portions to link with notes. This pen does it for you in real time, to where you just touch the paper by your notes to hear the sound byte replayed. That alone is invaluable when its been a few days since you looked at previous notes. If a lap top program can do this, then I’d buy.
I think it’s too expensive. Plus, why would you carry around a pen+paper when you would just carry around a laptop now? Plus, when you go back to your dorm or home or whatever, you’ll have to transfer the files from the pen and to the computer, wasting time when you could already be sending it by email with your computer. The only good part maybe is the translater and the recorder, but I just see more uses with the laptop, than with the smart pen [which needs a laptop as well as the pen itself].
