jrin.net reviews the Gateway lt2005u (LT20 series) 10" netbook (same as the lt2022u and lt2021u, or any other LT20 series netbook). Basically, it's on par with most other 10" netbooks, and for the most part, it's the same as the Acer Aspire One 10" ( the gateway has longer battery life) This was upgraded to 2gb ram and windows set for best performance Check out the full review at www.jrin.net

the video is laggy because flash is rendered through the cpu and barely and gpu, so that crappy atom is only a single core and thats why netbooks ant the greatest for flash videos, but my netbook has a celeron duel core and can play standard without buffering, and hd usually without buffering, but nice vid
so Acer own gateway? I thought it was the other way around, but i might be wrong.
NICE REVIEW! One of the best i’ve seen! I just orderd this, and am awaiting arrival from UPS! (=
acer is amazing they own Gateway And eMachines you cant stop them
You can’t have a descent opinion about a netbook if you only have it for about 6 weeks…sigh
You can’t have a descent opinion about a netbook if you only have it for a few days…sigh
More then you can afford… ferrari! (revs engine)
it looks ugly with the battery on the back
love mine. had it for a couple of days. very nice net book. looking to install 2gb ram soon since it being so simple. Know any place on were to get it cheap but good quality? Thanks nice review.
I have this netbook. I got it at Best Buy and paid around around $350. I’ve had it over 6 weeks or so. I recently purchased an external DVD to load Windows 7. Overall, I am very satisfied with the machine. It is lightweight with decent battery. I travel very often and it is a dream working with on the planes. I’m eagerly awaiting for Delta to initiate it’s system wide wi-fi which will really make netbooks the way to go
@jrinco11
hey Jrinco11,
nice review. this netbook is very good.
do you happen to know how to swap out the built in wifi card and replace it with another mini pcie wifi card. on the back of the netbook, there’s an empty space next to the ram section, under the microsoft coa. may i just put another mini wifi card? happy holiday.
hi dude!
how long can u use it on battery???
on linux???
(maybee +1 hour)
Great if you can comment on how to install Win7 and Gateway drivers from a WinXP original OS. Thanks.
The battery on this will swap with the Acer D250′s series.
I have the Acer D250-1156 and this gateway and they are the same since Acer owns gateway.
how much is this piece of crap
now in days we don’t really use pcie slots it’s slowly fading
this because i had bad lucks w/ compaq
good
i got the same laptop i like it it’s pretty good for on the go i had the acer 2gb surf w/ linux installed witch was the first netbook that came out i think 3 or 4 years ago oh by the way that was funny on 0:07 lol
it’s a netbook, not a laptop – it’s not supposed to have a built in optical drive
it doesn’t have room for a dvd?
have this and just installed win 7 ultimate on it works good with some tweaks. w/1GB ram
If the wifi light is annoying install win 7 it it doesnt blink when accessing the net…
What was that grab at 0:07 ?? LoL Great review!
Just so you know the opening on the bottom to the right of the RAM opening is not the wireless, it is an open Mini PCIe slot!!
Thanks,
Jason Flittner
