Do you have a question about Basketball that you want answered? How to Shoot a Basketball Vlog Today’s question comes to us from Shreddocaster and is about the proper arc your shot should have to increase your shooting accuracy. These tips should help you visualize the way arc affects your shooting and, with a tweek or two, get you shooting lights out! www.shotscience.com This is the fourth response video in a series where we will take a question that you guys submit to us and turn it into a video response from us the following week. All you have to do is submit a question in the comments here or in a video response attached to this video. We’ll go through all the questions and choose the one we will tackle for the following week’s video. We will be especially interested in Video Responses because it will give us a chance to feature your video on next week’s episode, so please consider recording yourself asking your question and attaching it here. We’ll probably choose our featured question by next Friday, so submit your videos ASAP!!! The question can be about anything Basketball and we’ll do our best to answer it. Try to narrow down your topic so we can fully cover it in our response. There will be a new episode about every other week, so please don’t give up on your question. Special thanks to Taylor for demonstrating great shooting arc! He’s got it down so well that he had a hard time shooting the flat shots! Love to hear from you! –Tom

Can you guys show Chris Pauls shooting form?
You have to consciously eliminate this habit from your shooting and the best way to do that is using the “Form Shooting Drill.” When you’re doing this drill, try jumping and landing in the same spot. You’ll have to do this many, many times to reprogram, but you can do it!
GUN: Thanks for your comment. We appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment on our work. Stay tuned for more.
This was an excellent video.
mac: No problem! Just have to spend a lot of time watching him shoot. Actually, his shooting mechanics are almost identical to what we teach. Take a look.
Can you copy how to shoot like Kobe Bryant how he do that?
TS: Not sure what your question is. Please clarify for us so we can answer.
How do we account for the height in this?
TZ: We are glad you saw some humor, just not sure why.
1:14 made me laugh so hard!
hmmm, strange
If you don’t have good arc, then you have to work on it until it becomes second nature! Try using our “Form Shooting Drill” to get it all dialed in. We also can’t think of a scenario when you would want to change your shot to not use arc. Once you’ve dialed in your shot, you want it to be the same EVERY time you shoot!
Yeah it looks very identical .
coltstu:
We need to wait until we can see you shooting. It’s really difficult to guess what your problems might be.

thanks
that will help alot,
i will try get it to you as soon as possible
Crazy: By all means! Send the video and that will help us a ton. We will analyze it for you right away.
thanks, that helps
but i live in england
and too get into the england squad you basically hav to hit 3s consistently
can you maybe help me by doing a video on three shots
and if i send a video in maybe?
Crazy: Your shot can be less effective if you get too much arc. It is a good idea to keep the apex of the arc at about 12-14 feet above the basket at its highest point. Regarding your power, its probably due to your not using your legs and having them connect with the stroke when you shoot. We have 12 yr olds who are very capable in shooting threes. Its all about using your legs. See our video on the topic. Good luck and keep us posted about your three ball.
hello,
thanks for this video, but i try to shoot high like you hav said but sometimes hit air, i also get told im shooting to high. Being only 14 but 6″1 isit because i dont have enough power to hit threes yet?
