I dont know why people are joking about something that will soon effect all of us. Global warming isn’t a joke and won’t just go away without us doing something to stop it.

Because no one believes it’s as much of a threat as they say they do. If people were REALLY worried about global warming, they endorse the idea of building more nuclear reactors, which don’t have any CO2 emissions.
Some people would rather laugh it off than face the fact that it’s time to change their lifestyle. Anyone who thinks that we can continue our dependence on oil with no ill consequences is an utter fool!

Global Warming is a era that occured millions of years ago. If anything is happening its the cahnge of winds, they change every 10 or 15 years.
Because there are jokers in every category here. But the fact is, it’s no laughing matter. If we want to survive to the 22nd century, we need to make some drastic changes very, very soon. The ice in the Arctic Ocean is rapidly melting, which gives the Arctic a significantly lower albedo, which accelerates the melting. And much of the world’s population lives within drowning distance of the ocean!
People love to joke about it for many reasons,mainly airheads who don’t believe that Global Warming will actually happen or they are just trying to make themselves think it won’t happen and the world is perfectly fine and that is their way of showing it.
I am not one of those people.
idk and i think that it is wrong to joke about this matter. my brother has this theory that the winter season is being pushed back farther but spring still ends a the same time. that means that we are not getting as cold for as long as we used to be.
Because global warming is so hyped up, especially the kind the media want everybody to believe (human caused) and no matter what many people say, our deaths are not imminent. Really, think about it, do you joke about the things that are hyped up; Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Elections, Iraq, etc…

A lot of the entire global warming issue has become a get rich quick scheme and power trip for people like Al Gore, Hollywood, and several of the highly publicized ‘nonProfits’ who endorse the entire farce.
Many of the wealthy elite support and use the issue to usuage their guilt over their obscene spending habits.
And we joke because there are two sides to the issue but most of the liberal media only emphasizes one side and too many uneducated/ignorant sheeples are buying the entire kit and kaboodle without doing their own independent research and looking at all sides of the issue.
Of course we are warming globally. We had an Ice Age thousands of years ago and the glaciers from the Ice Age are thawing as well as other changes.
And, studying growth rings of trees indicate that we have had numerous periods of extreme hot and cold throughout history.
And, many scientists dispute the alarmists faction over the entire issue but you will never see it on CNN. It is not PC!
Real thinkers look beyond the headlines and study the issue from many perspectives!!!

I think it has something to do with a really poor sense of humor. These are probably the same people that laugh at old people falling over and think its funny to shout out of car windows as they drive past etc etc.
