Question by Phil: How do I install and configure all appropriate Ubuntu drivers under Karmic Koala?
Typical Windows XP user here looking to make the first leap into Linux. I installed KK onto my Asus Eee PC 900A and all went smoothly with the install, and at first blush things run faster on it than when I had XP SP3 installed on it. But, how do I find/activate/install KK drivers (specifically wired and wireless Internet)? Thanks in advance.

Ubuntu should include drivers for any Ethernet controllers and most wireless cards out of the box. If your Ethernet controller doesn’t work, you should try using a newer release (the latest is currently 10.04 Lucid Lynx). Depending on your wireless card, it may or may not be supported out of the box. if it isn’t, first check the Restricted Drivers Manager in the System Menu. If there aren’t any drivers there, read the instruction on how to use NDISwrapper here:

I recently got this short sleeve dress, and was wondering when it would be appropriate to wear it. Tomorrow is suppose to be sunny and around 66 degrees and sunny.
Would it be appropriate to wear it tomorrow or should I wait?
And if you don’t think I should wear it tomorrow, what is appropriate weather/temperature to wear it?

It sounds like the perfect weather for that dress! And if you have a cardigan, throw it on too if you get cold. Wearing leggings would make it suitable for colder weather too. I recommend black, ankle-length leggings. you can’t go wrong with those.
