Use, Share WiFi Or Any Internet Connection By Other Computers On LAN Network Connected

All the laptops, tablets, mobile phones generally come with a Wi-Fi feature enabling them to get the internet connection from the nearest Wi-Fi hotspot. But what about the fixed desktop computers with LAN (Local Area Network is a computer network that connects computers and devices in a limited geographical area such as home, school, computer laboratory or office building.)?

All the laptops, tablets, mobile phones generally come with a Wi-Fi feature enabling them to get the internet connection from the nearest Wi-Fi hotspot. But what about the fixed desktop computers with LAN(Local Area Network is a computer network that connects computers and devices in a limited geographical area such as home, school, computer laboratory or office building.)? How can they share a Wi-Fi internet connection? We’ll tell you how.

We are considering the Windows 7 — one of the Best Operating Systems for the features and functions offered when compared to the previous versions. Now, generally, most of the required files and options come pre-installed on your Operating System and requires just the right configuration. Here’s what you need to do, a few simple steps and you are done.

Step#1 : Right click on the Connectivity Icon which is located on your system tray and then click on ‘Network and Sharing Center’.

Step#2 : click on the ‘Change Adapter Settings’, followed by selecting the Ethernet Adapter and then right clicking on the same, selecting the last ‘Properties’ option as shown below.

Step#3 :  click on the ‘Sharing’ Tab which allows you to share your Internet Connection with other users. You can Allow other network users through your current Internet Connection and also allow or disallow other users to control or disable the shared Internet connection. You need to check to YES for both of these settings as displayed below.

step#4 : After applying the above mentioned settings you will be assigned a Static IP address(a IP which is not going to change and you can access your LAN adapter with that specific IP address). Note that your computer may lose connectivity with other computers on your network.

Step#5 : Once you press on Yes, the above mentioned box will remove any IP address which was previously entered under the network settings and any user who wants to access your Internet Connection has to take any Sub IP’s which have a different D Class changed in TCP/IP 4 configuration.

There are few other options as well for the same — Direct PC to PC Transfer or using a Virtual Router, which we’ll cover some other day in a fresh blog.

Reconnect iPhone To Wifi Network Whose Password Has Been Changed

On December 31, 2010, in DS, iphone, iphone tips, MB, Tech, Uncategorized, by admin

There might be a time when you have already configured the connectivity on your iphone for a particular wifi network and that network is remembered and iphone connects to it automatically, and after some time you or someone has changed the password but now you are not able to connect it again as due to the stored settings your iphone tries to connect using the same old password, whenever you try to connect, you see the following error on the iphone screen.
