The Apple iPhone has revolutionized the way people look at their smartphones. However, if you want to get the most out of your amazing handheld device, then Apple’s App Store is your application oasis.

In order to access the App Store for downloading location based iPhone app, you must have an Apple account. You can sign up for one either through your Mac, PC, or through your iPhone. Once you have created your account, your iPhone will use your account to access the App Store.

Once you have connected your iPhone to the Internet, launch the blue App Store icon. The application will bring you to the main page where you can look through Featured Selections, Recommended Apps, Top 25 Apps, or you could search for more specific location based iPhone app that you need.

The applications in the App Store are both free to use and paid, which range between .99 and .99. When you have found the app that you want to be installed into your iPhone, tap the Price or Free, and then Buy Now or Install. You will then be prompted to enter your account information. After entering the right details, the application will then begin downloading and your account will be charged if you have downloaded a paid app. A status bar will pop out for you to see the download progress.

You can also use your iTunes application on your computer and download iPhone apps through the iTunes Store under the App Store Section. You could use your iTunes application to browse through hundreds of thousands of different iPhone apps that will suit both you and your iPhones’ personality. When you plug in your iPhone to the computer, you can then transfer the apps that you have downloaded into your phone.

Fortunately, you do not have to shell out some backs into cool apps in order to customize your iPhone the way you want it to be. There are a lot of iPhone applications that are free to download and use. You can browse the Free category on the App Store, or you could go to one of the countless websites that catalog and review some of the most popular and top rated free iPhone apps. These sites can help you get to know the latest free location based iPhone app that is worth to have on your phone.
