I bought the signature model from NYC, it’s a piece of shit, it never work as described, had video playback issues, cosmetic issues, etc.

I bought the vaio p for the school and served me very well not have any problem

I would seriously consider buying one but its just so damm expensive the only reason sony products are so expensive its because of design

I’ve got the Vaio P with the highest specs meaning 1.86GHZ processor and etc. Performance with Aero is great.. Would you mind providing a direct link to the new GMA500 drivers?

Oh the the Acer One is a good deal at £200 ($300 USD).

But what done it in for me was the screen resolution of 1024×600. A lot of the applications I use where unusable on it, because they got truncated, OK buttons chopped off the bottom of the screen, or layouts where too cramped and unusable.

So I needed a small ‘netbook’ which offered a much higher screen resolution. The Vaio was the only machine which offered the required 768 minimum pixels vertical resolution for what I need.

  9. mukatuna says:

    True..

BTW I did have an Acer One but sold it when bought I my Vaio P a couple of weeks ago.

  10. mukatuna says:

Well the CPU is Intel Atom, but that’s the only major similarity.

For a start the Vaio screen has a much higher resolution than the Acer at 1600×768 (which is higher than my 15 inch laptop). The Vaio is pocket sized and much lighter than the Acer. Plus IMO the build quality is significantly higher. Then there is Bluetooth, GPS and 3G built in. Battery life on the Vaio is over 3 hours, it’s about 90 mins with the Acer.

True there is a price premium with the Vaio, but then that’s typical Sony.

  11. mukatuna says:

For the benefit of everyone. There was a new Intel
GMA 500 driver released a couple of weeks ago. Aero works just fine on the Vaio P now. Although full screen video playback performance is better with Aero turned off.

    its so god dam sexy

  13. ChamillitaryCamp5176 says:

That is to much to pay i rather get a dell mini 9 but it is a really cool computer tho

  14. dacbiet says:

If the Vaio P was a bit cheaper, I would buy it no questions asked. $900 is too steep for a “netbook”.

anybody who knows the song title of the melody from 0:00 to 0:38?

  16. Superstarw0w says:

    its beautiful

  17. EliteSoldier112 says:

The point is the concierge mistook it for a bag (which emphasizes the small size) and then she says “No, that’s fine” as in the laptop has “meaning”. It’s a necessity to her. It”s weird but makes sense.

  18. EliteSoldier112 says:

I’ve got the P90 with the 1.86 Ghz Atom Z processor and the 64GB SSD. This computer is simply amazing. It is expensive but who cares when you can fit this thing in your pocket!

  19. xFTLxHIPPO123 says:

i know its nicer but the specs are not much different plus the vaio runs vista with only an intel atom and 2 GB of ram so its defiantly slow the vaio should be like $500 not $900 the acer is obviously a better buy at only $300

  20. PeLvInSDiStUrBeD says:

the vaio is a much nicer, more compact and better features then the acer

  21. 1sweetmonster1 says:

i want the white one :3

  22. cannoir says:

I think they should have improved the performance of those VAIO VGN-UX180P though. more ram an all , plus the design was somehow not gender specific. I am not feeling the design of this one and why does the portable’color always matches the furnitures of the diverse surroundings?are they trying to market this one to women or what.

  23. hurricaneleoj says:

the acer aspire is twice as big as the vaio p, more than twice as big.. there was a comparison on youtube.

  24. drumzstix666 says:

acer faster then sony but sony has standard gps. acer has more ram but sony has more “life”.
    acer cheap sony quality
acer crash when fall sony not
    acer less feature then sony

    acer ugly sony pretty

  25. drumzstix666 says:

The Vaio P Series. Living the sony life. cool!
