Get as many boxes of all different sizes and as much wrapping paper as you can, start with putting the tickets in the smallest box they will fit in, gift wrap that and put it into the next bigger box, gift wrap and so on and so on until you have a huge wrapped box, she will never guess what it is and will have a great time unwrapping all the boxes!
Buy something cheap like a bar of chocolate – galaxy or something else. so when she unwraps it, she will be let down that a really good mate only brought her a bar of chocolate! then slide the chocolate out of the sleeve and unwrap it put the ticket in the chocolate bar and wrap it back up and slide it back into the sleeve.

The ideas about the boxes and the cheap chocolate are childish, only do them to your siblings and close friends for smaller gifts.
For big surprises and really good gifts it needs to be classier. Find some pictures of the place where you are going and get them printed on nice picture paper. Then place the pictures in a nice box and wrap the box neatly. Once your friend has opened the box and looked a picture of two tell her that you got her tickets to go on the trip with you!
