What’s the difference between love and infatuation?

On February 25, 2010, in Uncategorized, by admin

I think i might be in love with this guy at my school, he’s amazing, funny, hot and a really really nice guy. I’ve liked him for ages and everytime i see him or think about him i have to smile. Am I actually in love or is it just infatuation?

    Infatuation is temporarily, love isnt.

Would you still want him to be happy, even if its without you in his life? That’s love. x

If you can’t get over him at all, maybe you really are in love.
But if you find someone else quickly, you’re infatuated.
    Hope I helped.

Infatuation is the desire of wanting another person to be your partner because of your appreciation for that person.

Love is the desire to understand another’s needs and wanting to give them what they need. For example, jumping up to give him a drink if he is thirsty when he didn’t even ask you for a drink.

In short, infatuation is the desire to take while love is the desire to give.
