People foundamently prefers to believe in God because they are too much egoistic. They are afraid of being as same the animals surronding them. They are afraid of dying and having nothing after it. According to me, this is the main reason cause they don’t want an end, so when somebody tell them there’s something so strong over them, giving them their absoluty after death, well they buy it without hesitating and they are having faith in it. (sorry for my bad english)

  2. Seshobanryu says:

Thanks to evolution. As the video states, a group which murders indiscriminately doesn’t survive to reproduce. Brain scans have shown that humans are hardwired to be compassionate and social creatures. Thats how i know whats right.

@JJeweler17 By all the “harder” Christian faiths, you’d be considered a heretic and “under satanic control” :/
In the NT, Jesus said a few times, and a few different ways, that he did not come to change the old laws (the OT), but to verify them.
If you are only a NT Christian, why do you follow the 10 commandments? Jesus gave only 2 commandments worth remembering.
(Love God with all your heart, and love you enemies as yourself)
Which denomination are you? (if you don’t mind me asking)

  4. JJeweler17 says:

I believe that the death penalty should be eliminated (as do many) because we believe the New Testament philosophy of forgiveness. We believe that God is the sole judge of man.

  5. TheHigherVoltage says:

From Pro-lifers killing abortion doctors, to Bush illegally invading Iraq because “God speaks through him”…all the way to the oxymoron of a “Christian soldier”…killing people is the name of God(s) is a main staple of just about every religion on the planet…regardless of what any “commandment” might say.

  6. TheHigherVoltage says:

…mindset of German/Nazi soldiers. It was “all for God, all for the Lord, all for Jesus”.
Modern Christians like to say “Hitler was a cultist..or an Atheist..or a devil worshiper.”
But just spend a few hours and read Mein Kampt, or read the transcripts (or watch the films) of Hitler’s speeches. Hitler led Germany in a “Christian crusade”…much like a few of the leading Evangelicals feel we should be doing again.
Research this stuff, instead of taking one person’s point of view. You’ll see.

  7. TheHigherVoltage says:

…”thou shall not kill” doesn’t stand a chance vs “all homosexuals must be stoned to death”..for example.

The Qu’ran says over and over again :: do not kill a rightous man, even they do not accept Allah, they are still rightous. That doesn’t stop suicide bombers from strapping on dynamite and blowing up a town square.

If you think that only “radical Christians kill”, you need to learn a lot more about the history and reality of Christianity.
    Just research WW2, Hitler’s speeches, and the….

  8. TheHigherVoltage says:

@JJeweler17 You’re not being rude at all, and I hope you don’t think this is :
In the history of Christianity, 100,000s of heretics were not only killed, but tortured horrendously or enslaved. Look up the Spanish Inquisition sometime. Just a taste.
You can also find that the states most often cited as “bible states”, also have the death penalty.

Just about everything written in the bible (including just about every one of the 10 commandments), is contradicted by other verses in the bible….

  9. JJeweler17 says:

I think you’re talking about extremeists , who aren’t that numerous.Obviously there are extremeists everywhere, even in athiests. I have not met a christian, even an extremeist that wants to kill anyone. Its against the Ten Commandments? If I seem rude, I apologize but I’m seriously frustrated.

  10. Poisonfrogg says:

how do you know paranas dont belive in a God???

  11. TheHigherVoltage says:

@JJeweler17 well, there are more than 33,000 variations of Christianity…from mild to psychotic.
When 33,000 variations are involved, it’s no longer church, it’s churches.
If you practice a milder version, you’re lucky…but even still, you’re a powerbase for the nutjob fundamentals…the ones who want to kill you (literally) if you say “no think you”.

  12. JJeweler17 says:

Yes but part of BEING as in DOING and LIVING a christian life is to walk blameless, hence the “not sinning”. And again, a simple “no thank you” usually works to a christian trying to “push” their religion on you. I don’t even know why you put churches in that list, its a church! As for me, I don’t necessarily push christianity on people I simply acknowledge God in everything I do, if someone happens to be curious then I’ll off to witness to them. Simple as that.

  13. TheHigherVoltage says:

@JJeweler17 according to the bible, (and Christian doctrine) — we are all born in sin, born with sin, and continually sin our whole lives…even if we’re Christian.
Being Christian is pretending all this, as well as pretending that “only in believing in the mythology can you be saved”.
And for your other comment about Christians pushing religion…oh yes they do…in churches, on street corners, in the media, everywhere.
That’s what proselyting is….it’s part of the Christian doctrine.

  14. lesliekwan80 says:

Christians ALWAYS push. It’s like your DUTY to push your belief onto others. It’s part of being a Christian. You want to “save” people so you try to convince people that your god is real and to worship him. Christians feel like they are doing something good, because you’re giving us lost sheep a chance to live forever.

  15. lesliekwan80 says:

You obviously don’t know what it’s like to be an atheist in a Christian family.

  16. JJeweler17 says:

Did you have some bad experience with a christian? I keep reading the comments about christians trying to push God into peoples lives, really? I’ve seen more pushing in a presidential campaign than out of christians. Stop crying about it and just say “No thank you.” Geez

  17. JJeweler17 says:

I refer to a science book when asked about the theory of relativity. I refer to a science book when asked about evolution. I refer to the bible for my personal standing with God.

  18. JJeweler17 says:

Well part of being a christian is NOT sinning so…

  19. JJeweler17 says:

How do you know whats right?

  20. JJeweler17 says:

I thought this video was actually going to be interesting. “Thats how he sells his snake oil?” As if thats his product? He’s telling a story, an experience, by stating that you simply argued against the fact that he told a story on two separate occasions.

  21. darkfur35 says:

say something intelligent. this video is just full of rude comments.

  22. sleepyriggles says:

This is my favorite why ppl laugh at creationists vid. Ravi Zacharias tries to confuse and mislead with this bs arguement, but I don’t think his intention is to debate opposing views, but rather swipe money from weaker minds who are impressed by his lies. I especially enjoy how he won’t even keep his story straight and adjusts the specifics of it depending on who he is lying to.

  23. forevrnight says:

    god is jacking it! lol

  24. Seshobanryu says:

If anything, a “good” atheist is morally superior to a “good” theist as an atheist has no incentives like heaven or hell to regulate their behavior, they are “good” because its what’s right.

on a separate note, that red headed chic is absolutely beautiful!

  25. DancingHorses26 says:

I can’t stand words like “morality” and “good” and “evil”. The things people do they do because they want something, and they think they can get it by taking certain actions.

What people want and how they think they can get it varies wildly from person to person, and that’s why we have conflict.

The solution to these conflicts is better cooperation and better technology through knowledge. Science has done more to bring peace to this world than any religion, and will continue to do so.
